I-395 North slow at Glebe Rd

Here's a look at the commuting headaches facing drivers this morning:

8:45 A.M. UPDATE:

-- The merge lane on U.S. 50 eastbound has reopened, but the shoulder is now blocked.

-- I-495 North remains slow at I-66.

-- I-395 North is still slow at Glebe Road.

-- I-66 East is still congested at Nutley Street.

8:25 A.M. UPDATE:

-- The eastbound lanes on U.S. 50 before U.S. 301 have reopened. Now only the eastbound left merge lane is blocked.

-- An accident on Kenilworth Avenue northbound before U.S. 50 is blocking one of the shoulders.

-- I-495 North is still incredibly packed heading to I-66.

-- I-395 North remains slow leading up to Glebe Road.


-- An accident on U.S. 50 before U.S. 301 is blocking three eastbound lanes and one eastbound left merge lane. While this is to the west of the Beltway, it could still slow a lot of traffic heading from Prince George's County toward the District.

-- I-395 North remains congested at Glebe Road and Duke Street.

-- I-495 North is heavily backed up leading to I-66.

7:35 A.M. UPDATE:

-- I-395 North is still very slow at Glebe Road and Duke Street.

-- I-95 North is congested before Lorton Road.

-- I-495 North remains packed heading to Gallows Road.

-- A disabled vehicle on U.S. 50 could slow eastbound traffic before U.S. 301.

7:10 A.M. UPDATE:

-- I-495 North is very slow leading to Gallows Road.

-- I-395 North is still congested leading to Glebe Road and Duke Street.

-- I-66 East is also still congested at Nutley Street.

-- The accident on Georgia Avenue has been cleared.

-- So has the accident on MD 197 at B.W. Parkway.

6:45 A.M. UPDATE:

-- An accident on Georgia Avenue southbound between Plyers Mill Road and Dennis Avenue in Silver Spring is blocking two southbound lanes.

-- An accident on MD 197 at Baltimore-Washington Parkway could slow westbound traffic.

-- I-395 North remains slow heading to Glebe Road and Duke Street.

6:20 A.M. UPDATE:

-- There's debris on the road on I-495/Inner Loop before Georgia Avenue, which could cause delays.

-- I-66 East is very backed up at Nutley Street.

-- The disabled vehicle has been moved from I-395. However, there are bad delays on I-395 North heading to Glebe Road.

-- All lanes of New York Avenue are open in both directions in the aftermath of yesterday's fire, according to a Tweet by the District Department of Transportation.


-- A disabled vehicle on I-395 at Washington Boulevard is blocking the reversible lane.
