U.S. Route 50 eastbound is stalled in Annapolis after a highway worker was struck and killed by a tractor-trailer, state police said.
The accident at about 1 a.m. near Route 2/Ritchie Highway is creating delays beginning east of the Severn Bridge. One eastbound lane is now getting by the scene. One westbound lane is closed.
The crew worker is believed to be a sub-contractor for the Maryland State Highway Administration, police said.
