Got Plans? Redux: Mole and Mother's Day

By Julia Beizer

Yesterday's chat was the quintessential Got Plans? grab bag. We talked about mole. We talked about jazz clubs. We talked about Passport DC. We talked about "Star Trek" and Nissan Pavilion traffic. We even spent a bizarrely disproportionate amount of time talking about brunch on H Street (my bad).

FYI... You recommended someone walk up Mass to cafe Berlin-- unfortunately both Cafe Berlin and Two Quail closed a while ago.

Re: Cafe Berlin... I live by the area and it seemed opened the last time I noticed. And their website has a Mother's Day 2009 brunch menu on it.

Casa Oaxaca is hit and miss with some items, as well as the service, but the mole is always on. You can't go wrong with the enchiladas in mole poblano (or try the newer mole verde) or china and mole dishes.

Rosa Mexicana also has decent mole, but not as good as Casa Oaxaca.
