Got Plans? redux: Looking ahead to New Year's
There were questions about where to see and purchase unusual holiday decorations in Thursday's Got Plans? discussion (read the transcript), but most of you were eager to talk plans for New Year's Eve. Before the chat, Fritz posted a tip on a party he's excited about -- a chance to see new nightspot Patty Boom Boom and hear Thievery Corporation's Eric Hilton DJ for $20 -- but we have many more recommendations.
Check out this list of budget-friendly parties that proves New Year's Eve doesn't have to cost an arm and a leg. There are a bunch of great concerts happening that night, too. We'll also keep updating our giant list of all parties. But if you really want the lowdown, look for our e-mail newsletter on Monday, where we'll send you all our top ideas for ringing in 2010.
What are your plans so far? Let us know, or write us a question for next week's Got Plans? We'll have two more discussions before New Year's because we're moving our chat to Wednesdays for the next two weeks: The Gurus will gather at 1 p.m. on Dec. 23 and 30.
