Last-chance art exhibitions
The new year means a slew of new exhibitions at area museums -- and a number of major shows will be closing to make room for them.
You have about two more weeks to see "Anne Truitt: Perception and Reflection" at the Hirshhorn, the quirky Renwick Craft Invitational at the Renwick Gallery, the National Archives' wide-ranging "Big!," the Portrait Gallery's "Presidents in Waiting" (a look at vice presidents who later moved into the White House) and the "Matisse as Printmaker" exhibit at the Baltimore Museum of Art. Consider these good options for entertaining your holiday visitors, as well.
All are free and open through Jan. 3 but closed on Christmas.
