Got Plans? Redux: Meeting new people in 2010
Got Plans? chatters have made New Year's resolutions to get out more in 2010 -- just the thing we like to hear. Chatters asked about where to meet singles and where to play bar games. In today's discussion, we answered these questions -- and talked about Restaurant Week, kid-friendly theater and bowling (entirely too much bowling).
We'll be back next week with more Q&A: 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 14.

Concerning the chatter from Bethesda who wanted to increase her circle of local, single friends...I could have written that myself. It's very frustrating but I'm just continuing to "show up" to the various events, including Meetup stuff, and have the most fun I can. Hopefully some friendships will emerge somewhere. I think it's the combination of location and demographic. Frankly there just aren't a lot of single, relatively cool, youthful (and nice!) women in our age group out there! Now to work on the "men" part...

Missed the chat today (at work), but for future reference, Wisdom has trivia on Thursday nights. I've got a group that goes once or twice a month and it's a lot of fun. Good questions, great drinks.
