Today's agenda: Got Plans?, happy hour and cocktails for charity
It's Thursday, which means the Going Out Gurus will be ready to chat about anything you want at 1 p.m. (We already see questions about Restaurant Week experiences, Martin Luther King Jr. memorial events, Valentine's Day planning and the fate of U Street's Axis Bar and Grill in our queue.) Want to join the discussion? Ask a question or share your thoughts on any of the above.
But wait -- there's more. Because it's the second Thursday of the month, the Going Out Gurus are hosting a happy hour tonight. We'll be at Eyebar between 6 and 8 with drink specials ($3 beers, $4 mixed drinks and wine and we'll be giving away tickets to Taste of the Nation and the International Food and Wine Festival's Film Night. Hope you can join us.
Oh, and I wanted to share my favorite Facebook status update of the week, posted last night by the Gibson:
"Attn Humanitarians: For tonight and tomorrow, a 100% of profits from all sazeracs and old fashioneds will be donated to the Red Cross to help relief in Haiti."
Go enjoy a delicious whiskey cocktail and do some good while you're at it.

There will be a fundraiser happy hour to benefit Hands Together Haiti on Friday, January 22 at Fly Lounge. 100% of donations collected at the door (suggested $20) will go to support Hands Together's feeding, hygiene, school, and rebuilding efforts in Haiti. They have consistently received 4 out of 4 stars on Charity Navigator.
Fly Lounge will offer "Pre-Flight" specials on rail drinks and beer: $2 from 6:00 - 7:00, $3 from 7:00 - 8:00, $4 from 8:00 - 9:00, $5 from 9:00 - 10:00.

The experts behind the Going Out Guide post daily on news and trends in D.C.'s arts and entertainment scene, upcoming events and restaurant and bar openings.

Besides the Gibson for the past two nights (which is great!), is there any place where I could go tonight for food or drinks that is giving part of its proceeds to the rescue effort?
Thanks!
