An artful happy hour

By Anne Kenderdine

Add a little culture to your cocktails at M Bar on Thursday when the Corcoran's young benefactors, the 1869 Society, host a happy hour to display Corcoran students' works. The event, the second in a series of installations by students, features art by eight up-and-comers, and the $20 entry fee (waived for 1869 members) includes one free drink and complimentary snacks. Be sure to get there early: bracelets for drink specials ($4.50 rail drinks, $5 wines and $5 "Passion Fire" cocktail) will be distributed between 6:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
