Last night's happy hour: Lords of the dance

The band 40 Thieves made it a high-energy night. (Dakota Fine)
Our party at Ireland's Four Fields last night marked a couple of firsts for a Going Out Guide happy hour: there was a live band, couples (inspired by the band) were twirling out on the dance floor and some kids showed up.
Okay, the kids part we knew was going to happen, because we'd planned on having three youngsters from the Culkin School of Irish Dance show us their fancy footwork. (They'll be at the D.C. St. Patrick's Day parade on Sunday, too.)
All in all, a rollicking night. We send our big thanks out to Ireland's Four Fields for being such amazing hosts and to all of you we got to meet. It was fun to see some familiar faces returning from other happy hours, too. Check out more photos on our Facebook page.
We'll keep you posted on the location for next month's happy hour, which will be 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, April 8.
