Got Plans? Redux: Follow-up city
We dished about the Mayweather-Mosley fight, outdoor destinations for enjoying chips and salsa and must-see Smithsonian exhibits in today's Got Plans?, but some of the best conversation happened after 2 p.m. Right after we shut down the chat, a handful of great responses to some of our themes poured in. I've posted these follow-ups after the jump. We'll see you next week.
On cougars and unfair reputations:
Editorial comment: I think its a sad moment when the idea of an older woman dating a younger man is pejorative. As long as they're of age, who cares? Is it unusual? Sure. Is there a possibility that there might be underlying issues? Sure. How is that any different from any other relationship?
On bar dining:
For the lady: Anywhere that you can develop a friendship with the bartenders is a good spot in my book. My experience is that this is much easier at a place with decent food than a place trying to churn out the drinks a dozen at a time with bartenders working off 10 pounds each shift.
On the metro:
Bus/metro and chivalry: Okay, just saw this, but ... commuters hardly ever look around, or are so wrapped up in their world they don't care. However, I've always been offered a seat on my way to/home from Verizon and Nats Park (late 20s, female).
For family reunions in Old Town:
Washington, D.C.: For the person looking for a kid-friendly spot for a family reunion -- we had our wedding rehearsal at Columbia Firehouse, we had LOTS of kids, and it was great.
On submitting early . . . and chilling out:
Washington, D.C. submitting early again: My question was answered first ("submitting early!") and for the record, I didn't think I'd make the live chat, which was what I was trying to indicate. Maybe everyone should head out early to happy hour and enjoy the sunshine instead of ranting. Sheesh.

Speaking of submitting way late - I know you guys posted some Cinco-de-mayo suggestions, but I did not see any Mariachis mantioned. Donde esta los mariachis? (Last year you guys called out a great spot , but I can't remember where it was.)

Interesting debates. Personally, I don't need a Metro seat just because of which reproductive organs I have.
What really *does* bother me is people who take up two seats when others are standing!
