Hot tickets: Arcade Fire, Spoon, Kiss, Justin Bieber
Arcade Fire performs with Spoon, Aug. 6 at Merriweather Post Pavilion (Kevin Westenberg)
Isn't it nice when two great bands decide to play shows together? Ostensibly, one more date on your concert calendar is freed up, and you get more bang for your buck. For area alternative rock fans, Merge label mates Arcade Fire and Spoon just made life a little easier with the announcement of an Aug. 6 appearance at Merriweather Post Pavilion, three days after the former is scheduled to drop "The Suburbs." Spoon has been touring this year in support of their latest album, "Transference," but this will be the first time Arcade Fire has toured the States since 2007. Tickets ($32-$48.50) go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. through Ticketfly.
