Asia After Dark
The theme of the Freer's next after-hours party is Bhangra Night, so it's fitting that the museum is bringing in none other than Basement Bhangra host DJ Rekha to take care of the music. Along with danceable ditties, visitors can take a look at the gallery's current exhibition, "Arts of the Indian Subcontinent and the Himalayas," before creating their own art inspired by the show. After that, museum-goers should grab one of the event's signature cocktails and a snack before settling in for a performance of traditional Bhangra dance courtesy of Lalkaare Sheran De. If you can find the time amid all of the other highlights, there will also be a text-message scavenger hunt that will take players to various corners of the museum. Tickets are $20, $18 in advance, which includes one drink.
