Getting Up Guide: Restaurant Week and outdoor movies

By Stephanie Merry

What are your plans tonight? The Getting Up Guide is here to help you answer that question. Here's what's happening on Monday:

2010 Summer Restaurant Week
At its worst, the twice-yearly event can be a debacle of bad service and subpar food that leads to a sad truth: You didn't actually save that much money. BUT, at its best, Restaurant Week may lead to a delicious multi-course lunch selected from an extensive menu at the likes of Sei and Zola for just $20.10. Not too shabby. Starting tonight, take advantage of lunch specials and dinners for $35.10 at big-name restaurants around town.

Crystal Screen Summer Film Series
Tonight is your last chance of the summer to sit outside with a picnic with your fellow trekkies. The final movie of the Crystal City cinema series is the 2009 J.J. Abrams version or "Star Trek" starring Chris Pine and Zachary Quinto. Prepare to beam up at dusk.

Behind the Curtain
Who needs summer camp when there's family fun day at Wolf Trap? The entertainment kicks off at 10 a.m. with a meet-and-greet with members of the 2010 Wolf Trap Opera Company, the chance to go backstage at the Barns and an array of arts and crafts activities.
