Last chance for food truck fans to be heard
Close of business today is not far off, and yet it's your deadline for contacting the DC Department of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs (DCRA) to let them know how you feel about plans to put new restrictions on our mobile food vendors. Love your curry, lobster, tacos and cupcakes on wheels? Let the DC Department of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs (DCRA) know in the next couple of hours.
This site has more information and has some advice for what a letter to the DCRA might say. Unfortunately its a GoDaddy site that is blocked by many employers (some federal agencies among them). This will take you directly to the DCRA page about the proposed legislation.

I hope the food trucks are allowed to stay - there are only so many times one can buy a sandwich near Federal Center SW.
And instead of contributing to the local economy, I'll just bring lunch more often.
Your choice, DC Department of Commerce!
