Notable Restaurant Week Extensions

By Justin Rude

Officially, yesterday was the end of restaurant week, but as expected, many restaurants are extending their promotion another week, or even till the end of the month. Among the places doing so there are a few to be excited about. My dinner last Thursday at the Oval Room, which included pastrami cured salmon, pork loin and goat cheese was probably the best meal I had in a week full of dining, but the services of sommelier Brent Kroll made the meal, and are the reason I am considering returning. Of course I ended up paying as much for wine as I did for food, but even with that little extravagance, I walked out of the Oval Room having spent much less than I would have ordering three courses and a wine pairing on a normal night. The Oval Room did restaurant week right, and I don't hesitate to recommend it if you can find a table before they end the promotion on Sunday.

Here are a handful of other notable venues extending the deal:

2941 offering lunch through August 31.
Art and Soul will be extending its dinner menu only through August 29.
Bombay Club through the 29th.
Cafe Atlantico through the 29th.
Co Co Sala through the 26th.
Dino through the 31st.
J & G Steakhouse through the 29th.
Nage through the 31st.
Oval Room through the 29th.
Oyamel through the 29th.
Redwood through the 29th.
Trummers on Main through the 28th
Zaytinya through the 29th.
Zentan through the 29th.
Zola through the 29th.
