Old favorites show up for Restaurant Week
We all know Restaurant Week is a great way to check out a restaurant that you haven't gotten around to yet. But since many restaurants like to feature signature items from their regular menu during the promotion, it's also a great way for familiar diners to check out how a dish they may have not tried in a while is doing. Take the fish burger at Westend Bistro -- a standard from the regular menu, the fish burger is one of two entrees the Northwest restaurant is offering on its Restaurant Week lunch menu. I hadn't had the fish burger in at least a year, so I was excited to give it a try. I was not disappointed: the firm, flavorful patty, the zippy aioli and sweet brioche were all where they should have been, and it all seemed sharp. Maybe it was just the weather, but the dining room seemed to have plenty of open tables at lunch today. Just a reminder that if you think its too late to find a table, you still have time.
