Getting Up Guide: Againn's wild game dinner; Grinderman
What are your plans tonight? The Getting Up Guide is here to help you answer that question. Here's what's happening Tuesday:
Nomadic Massive
The Montreal-based, socially-engaged hip-hop consortium of 10 skilled musicians and artists from Argentina, France, Algeria, Haiti, Chile, Barbados and Grenada performs in French, Spanish, English, Arabic, Creole, Portuguese and Patois. The group performs a blend of global, urban and traditional sounds at 6 p.m. on the Kennedy Center's Millennium Stage.
Grinderman
Nick Cave gets especially raunchy and ribald as his new band plays appropriately dirty and evil rock-and-roll. The month's top highlight, no doubt. Doors open at 7 p.m. at the 9:30 Club. With Armen Ra.
Againn Wild Game Dinner
Againn Executive Chef Wesley Morton presents the first of a series of monthly wild game dinners celebrating the 2010 fall hunting season. The menu includes butter-roasted Scottish wood pigeon; a duo of local venison; short rib crepinette and roasted rack; and Derbyshire Country Stilton with scotch-date compote. Call ahead to reserve a spot at the 7 p.m. seating.
