Getting Up Guide: Amy Sedaris; Vince Vaughn, Kevin James
What are your plans tonight? The Getting Up Guide is here to help you answer that question. Here's what's happening Monday:
Amy Sedaris
The comedian, writer and actress discusses her new book, "Simple Times: Crafts for Poor People." Tickets are $30 each, and include a copy of the book; for details and to RSVP, call 202-408-3100 or visit www.sixthandi.org.
Vince Vaughn and Kevin James
The silver-screen stars are taking their comedy on the road, not for a tour, mind you, but for a, yes, comedy roadshow. Just guessing, but the appearance may have something to do with the duo's upcoming film, "The Dilemma." Expect sketch comedy and stand-up starting at 8 p.m.
Jonsi and Mountain Man
The leader of Icelandic soundscapers Sigur Ros keeps the lush orchestration and adds some welcome vibrancy on his solo debut. With Mountain Man, an all-female trio that plays unadorned folk songs built on group harmonies and simple acoustic guitar.
