'Tis the season of giving, so Liz Lerman Dance Exchange is offering an evening of gratis entertainment, including free dance performances and Tai Chi demonstrations.

Tuesday

This new permanent collection gallery is dedicated to the influential and cutting edge pieces in the expanding video art field.

Wednesday
"The Frozen Chosin"
At this documentary screening, learn about one of the most harrowing conflicts of the Korean War in which 15,000 U.S. troops helped free 98,000 civilian refugees from the treacherous, sub-zero mountains of North Korea.

Thursday
Rockwell Film Series: "It's a Wonderful Life"
We challenge you to not get a little choked up at the end of this holiday classic, screening in conjunction with the wholesome paintings and drawings by Norman Rockwell on display for the "Telling Stories" exhibition.

Friday
Zoolights
The National Zoo has the perfect present for Zoolights fans; this year, the annual tradition of evening entertainment and clever light displays is free.

Saturday
Children's Tea Party: Storytelling
Your kids can pretend they're from Turkmenistan, Afghanistan or Iran as they try on traditional Turkmen clothing and sip hot tea at this storytelling event. For ages 4 to 12.

Sunday

It's a garage sale where you can get last-minute gifts for the punk rocker in your life. Only admission is free, but expect most items to be priced very inexpensively.
