Start cramming for Going Out Guide trivia night

We're now just four days from the inaugural Going Out Guide trivia contest, which will take over Bedrock Billiards Sunday at 8 p.m. We're biased, of course, but we think you're really going to like what we have in store for you.

For one thing, it gives you a chance to match wits with Fritz Hahn, our resident master of esoterica, and the rest of us here in Going Out Guideland. We'll give you some sample questions on the blog this Friday, but in the meantime, you'd better start sharpening your knowledge on D.C. watering holes, restaurants, art collections, music and anything else that concerns the details of the city we live in.

Another reason to hang out with us on Sunday? We've got some great prizes, including two lower-level tickets to the Dec. 15 Caps game at Verizon Center, a bar tab, DVD box sets and plenty of unfortunate gag gifts should you finish last or come up with the lamest team nickname.

So come out and bring your friends. Who knows, you might even learn something.
