Travel a Breeze

Peter Kahn

No problems getting to and from the game last night. I drove in from Fairfax and used the RFK shuttle. I am liking this freebie service. By the way, they were warning that for Wednesday's game to use lot 7 due to DC United game at RFK.

Lines at the concessions were much improved. Giffords Ice Cream vendors looked a little lonely, with not a lot of business in the 40-degree drizzle. I'm thinking business might pick up for them on those hot summer nights.

Who's going to TRASH the Metro Rail for making many people wait 15 mins for a Green Line train (if you left after the 9th inning). That's pretty ridiculous and WORSE than normal times.

Umm - no AJ. The typical Metro wait post-rush hour for a train is about 15 minutes on a single-serve line. That's normal. Now perhaps Metro could have run another train through during that 15 minute window, but since they didn't it's an additional 7 minute or so wait. That's peanuts around here.

It sounds like the Nats Express is really a hit. I don't think anyone, on any forum, has said a bad thing about it.

Do you always drive, or do you metro too?
