LaVar answers your questions

LaVar will be answering your questions each Friday in a video webcam chat. Tomorrow, he'll be talking about the Redskins-Cardinals game and the Redskins' 53-man final roster. He'll also be looking ahead to Week 1 and the Dallas game.

As tomorrow is the inaugural chat, please submit your questions in the comments section on this blog and we will get them to LaVar to answer. In the future, you'll be able to submit questions to him directly.

The chat will be posted on the blog, hopefully by late morning Friday.

Regarding the WR competition, everyone's been focusing on Malcolm Kelly's hammy. But with the advanced ages and previous history of nagging hammy injuries, shouldn't the Skins be worried about Galloway and Moss' hammies holding up this season?

The O-line was the biggest problem we had last year and yet this year little media attention has been paid to it lately. There's been no report on how the back-ups are shaking out and I think that will be critical as we are unlikely to have everyone make it through the season healthy. How are the back-ups playing, who's standing out from that group, and how are the rookies doing?

Thanks!

Lavar i am concerned about the RunningBacks on our team:

The NFL has been advertising awareness of Head Injuries and concussions. Portis, our teams top Back had one that knocked him out the season last year. If Portis goes down, which is possible because them boys Hit in the National Football League, will a Ryan Torrain and Keiland Williams be good enough to take the load off of a 33 year old Mcnabb? Will they provide that burst like i see every other team in the NFL does? What is going to happen? and where are the Big plays coming from this season? is terrence austin flying under the radar?

Thanks Lavarr

Hei #11 !!! Good job so far!!! Would you have liked to play in this 3-4 scheme??? I can see you wreaking havoc!!! Which LB reminds you the most of #56???

LaVar, I really enjoy your radio show! Today you and Dukes were talking about how the Skins should pick up TJ Housh if he's available. Don't you think that would just be a continuation of the "one player away" mentality that has kept the Skins in mediocrity for the past dozen years? By the way, my handle has been the same since the offseason that they let you, Walt Harris and Ryan Clark loose. Stupidest defensive moves of the decade in my opinion. Thanks!

Going into this game the OLB position opposite oraKpO was the only one I saw a (?) at to start the season. Have you seen anyone step into that role? Also would you have liked to try the 3-4 in your playing days, and if so under any particular coordinator?

LA! Question: Im thinking about the future already over here and what we need to improve on. Maybe because we dont have a championship squad right now, we have some old bandages covering our wounds. What are the most pressing personnel issues the Skins have iyo and what should they do to fix them before this time next year?

Hey LaVar,
What do you think of the new Big 10? I'm a Colorado guy, so it looks like your PSU has inherited the Huskers as an annual rival. Do you plan on heading out to the Sea of Red? It's pretty awesome.

Why does the Post employ a bankrupt fraud to blog on its website? He is cheating so many people out of money it is not even funny. Do a little search and he is being or has been sued by so many people it is ridiculous.

LaVar, non-football related......

I remember some years ago reading a story in The Post and it started off mentioning how you were in the weight room working out and listening to some Tool. Totally a random thing or are you a fan of the group? If so any favorite songs/albums? Seen 'em live?

I could go on all day.

Lavar, why have you not accepted my friend request on facebook. It says that my request is still waiting your confirmation Come on man! I am a fellow psu alum. Oh, and my last name is almost exactly the same as the QB who will get cut by the skins !

Lavar,

Seeing the way Chris Wilson has played in space and the difficulty Andre Carter has in space...could we trade Andre Carter (11 sacks last year at DE) to a 4-3 defense team in exchange for a veteran wideout like TJ Houshmendah of Seattle or o-line help?

Yo Var, wut up bra? With the fact that Brandon Banks has fumbled 3 punt returns, but actually ran one back to the house, what are his chances of making this team? If the skins cut him, do you think another NFL team will pick him up?
