Redskins-Giants keys to the game: special teams
The Redskins special teams bounced back on Sunday and Graham Gano delivered an overtime game-winning field goal. He also was good from 48 yards in windy weather.
Kicking field goals may or may not play a big part in the game against the Giants this weekend but at the least his performance against Jacksonville will go a long way towards Gano's job security.
Punting will need to be solid against New York. Sam Paulsecu will need to have a good game. He, too, is auditioning for a job next season.
Coverage will also be important this Sunday; field position will help the defense.
The most important themes this weekend: make field goals, punt well, cover well and make sure to be penalty free in all phases. If Brandon Banks is able to get lose, that will be a bonus. But protecting the ball and field position will be the most important focus for the special teams.
There are no real threats returning so I'm led to believe the Redskins will have a solid showing. Plus, young hungry talent will be on the field for the Redskins. So the edge goes to the Redskins special teams.

Wow! Great keys to the game. Make field goals, punt well, cover kicks and stay penalty free. You should be a coach. Wait, you hate coaches. Nevermind.
