We want single payer. We want health care, not "insurance". What insurance company has ever mended a broken bone, healed a sick person, delivered a baby, found a cure for an illness, or cared for someone in an emergency room? Get the private insurance industry out of the room and let's see what we can do for Americans then. We will have a chance to provide real health care for all. As long as the insurance industry runs the table, there will be no progress for those of us who do not have ANY access to health care now. If Senators realized what power there is in this issue (for their re-election) perhaps they'd be more "courageous" about single payer?
