Saturday Links

DURHAM, N.C. -- It's a beautiful Saturday morning on Tobacco Road. Here are some links for you this morning.

The Durham Herald-Sun has its three keys to the game for the Blue Devils.

While the Hokies are hoping to avoid a letdown here, Duke has pointed to its narrow 14-3 loss in Blacksburg as a source of hope. The Blue Devils were close last year, why not take it one step further this season? As quarterback Thaddeus Lewis told the Herald-Sun, "We can play against anybody on any given day."

But another local paper, the Raleigh News and Observer, takes a more empirical look at the history between the Hokies and Blue Devils. Let's just put it this way: The numbers don't stack up in Duke's favor.

Indeed. Those are ugly numbers for Duke. In fact, perhaps the most memorable moment of this series, at least for Hokies' fans used to their team dominating, came on the hardwood. In January 2007, Virginia Tech upset the No. 5 Duke basketball team. Relive some of the memories in the video below.
