ATLANTA -- It's game day. Finally.
In a few short hours, the line at The Varsity, the famous Atlanta burger joint, should snake around the place with hungry fans. [See video, below.] The lights will go on at Bobby Dodd Stadium. In the meantime, though, I'm sure Virginia Tech fans will be keeping an eye on a hearty slate of big games. If the Hokies emerge with a win against the Yellow Jackets, those results will have a direct impact on Virginia Tech. Stay tuned.
While you wait for the noon kickoffs, here are some links.
ESPN.com has a breakdown of the two quarterbacks competing in this game: Georgia Tech's Josh Nesbitt and Virginia Tech's Tyrod Taylor. It's a pretty interesting statistical analysis two guys who will have a huge impact on the game's outcome.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution has a tidy preview, with three keys to the game and some good stats.
And while there has certainly been a buzz about the game in Blacksburg, the implications of it are not lost on the 400-mile trip to Atlanta. How big is it? "Big," Nesbitt said. Anything else to add? "Nothing more needs to be said," he replied.
You've got plenty of football to watch. So I'm not going to bog you down with another sports clip. Rather, let's take a trip outside the norm. This clip is something of a sociological lesson about the aforementioned drive-in restaurant, which is actually right across the street from my hotel. Enjoy.
