Three Starters Probable vs. BC
While Virginia Tech is mostly healthy, the No. 5 Hokies (4-1, 2-0) are still dealing with some nagging injuries that have listed three starters as probable for Saturday’s game against Boston College (4-1, 2-1).
Right tackle Blake DeChristopher, who sat out last Saturday’s game against Duke after spraining his left ankle against Miami on Sept. 26, was listed as probable. Andrew Lanier made his first career start, in place of DeChristopher, in a 34-26 win over the Blue Devils.
Defensive tackle John Graves, who suffered a high sprain in his right ankle against Nebraska on Sept. 19, was also listed as probable. Graves played sparingly against Miami on Sept. 26 and got in for a snap on a field goal block against Duke last Saturday. Demetrius Taylor started in both games and played well, finishing the game against the Blue Devils with four tackles, 2 ½ for loss.
Also listed on Thursday’s injury report was defensive end Nekos Brown. He was listed as having an illness. The illness was not previously disclosed.
