Thursday links
Virginia Tech fans' Thursday night viewing should be pretty easy this week. North Carolina takes on Florida State, so this will be a nice glimpse ahead to a week from now. Here are some links to get you in the mood.
Although the Seminoles are struggling, the folks in Chapel Hill are still pretty pumped up at the prospect of beating them. “Historically, they are a powerhouse,” Tar Heels defensive end E.J. Wilson said.
The truth is, North Carolina is in a precarious position, so the meeting with Florida State is essentially a must-win game. The Tar Heels need seven wins to become bowl eligible so, as Heather Dinich of ESPN.com writes, "they need to find three more wins in six games. Very possible, but it has to start this week, considering the Hokies and Miami are still on the schedule."
While the Thursday night matchup has generated some excitement, it has come at a cost for some people in Chapel Hill. North Carolina's staff will have to leave campus two hours early in order to beat the rush-hour traffic to get home.
Why would everyone have to leave campus early? You can see the video below for evidence of some of the pregame festivities in Chapel Hill.
