Wednesday Links
Wednesday is here, which means we are on the week's down-slope toward Saturday's meeting between No. 5 Virginia Tech (4-1, 2-0) and Boston College (4-1, 2-1).
While this game also marks the midpoint of the season, it could serve as "an ACC championship game preview," writes Eric Avidon of the Daily News Tribune of Waltham, Mass.
The Eagles are coming off an emotional win over Florida State. How big was it, you ask? BC Heights, the Boston College student newspaper, called the win "a perfect end to a perfect day." You would have to think Boston College's players would get up for the Hokies, but such a draining effort against the Seminoles probably took a lot out of them, right? I guess we'll find out soon enough.
And for a video clip, I present Cody Grimm. Although he is a 5-foot-11 former walk-on, he might be the best player on the Hokies' roster. He is not physically impressive, but the dude can flat-out play football. Don't believe me? Keep your eye on No. 26 in the maroon jersey toward the bottom of the screen.
