Christmas Eve links

Merry Christmas Eve. Here are some links.

We're now a week away from Virginia Tech's meeting with Tennessee in the Chick-fil-A Bowl. There always seems to be some interesting news to come out of Knoxville; the latest tidbit about the Volunteers came from Forbes Magazine, which rated Tennessee the 13th most valuable team in college sports.

And the bowl game won’t be the final college football game for Tennessee's Montario Hardesty and Dan Williams, both of whom have accepted invitations to the Senior Bowl on Jan. 30 in Mobile, Ala.

As for the Hokie basketball team's next opponent, Longwood defeated Campbell, 88-80, on Saturday night. Virginia Tech defeated Campbell, 71-60, on Nov. 23.
