As Dinich also notes, Atlanta has been a home away from home for the Hokies, who are making their third trip here this year. Actually, it's been more like a haunted home away from home; Virginia Tech has lost both of its prior games here this year.

The Volunteers have been preparing for Virginia Tech's defense. But as Austin Ward of the Knoxville News Sentinel notes, the Hokies defense is more than just a tough scheme; it is the intensity with which the Hokies' play.

While Tennessee's offensive players have shown great respect for the Hokies' defense, they could be well positioned as the Volunteers look to stay full speed ahead on offense because quarterback Jonathan Crompton says he is handling the playbook well.
