Monday links
Happy 2010, Virginia Tech fans. Here are your first links of the new year.
Well, the Hokies certainly started the year off on the right note. As the calendar turned to 2010, the football team was celebrating it's 37-14 route of Tennessee in the Chick-fil-A Bowl. And on Saturday, the basketball team scored a big non-conference win over Seton Hall, 103-94, in overtime in Cancun, Mexico.
While many fans will surely revel in the bowl win over the Southeastern Conference opponent, now the focus will shift to the hardwood, with occasional updates about the football team. Why? Well, the Hokies start their conference schedule on Sunday at North Carolina. So things get into full swing.
The ninth-ranked Tar Heels have been winning. But in a 87-70 win over Albany in their last time out, they lacked focus. How will they look when Virginia Tech comes to Chapel Hill?
