Well, there's some interesting reading this morning. Let's get right to it.
As many of you know, Virginia Tech plays at No. 9 North Carolina on Sunday. You might not know, however, that the Tar Heels lost to College of Charleston on Monday night. That wasn't a typo. North Carolina squandered an 11-point lead over the final four minutes and lost, 82-79, in overtime.
Maybe the Tar Heels (11-4) were still in vacation mode. As the article notes, "North Carolina Coach Roy Williams has a beach home just north of the city in the Wild Dunes resort and, with the university on winter break, brought the Tar Heels in on Saturday night with the team staying at the swanky Charleston Place hotel."
Or maybe it was North Carolina's problems scoring and defending on the perimeter. Not having starters Marcus Ginyard and Will Graves on Monday night meant the Tar Heels were down their top perimeter defender and their top three-point shooter (Graves had 22).
Whatever the cause, it certainly made for more interesting discussion leading up to Virginia Tech's trip to Chapel Hill on Sunday.

Somehow I think UNC will come out against Tech with something to prove. Me thinks it's gonna get ugly for the Hokies.
