Wednesday links
It's Wednesday in a busy week for Virginia Tech. Let's get right to the links.
ESPN.com's Heather Dinich offered her rankings of the best football stadiums in the ACC and Lane Stadium placed second. But for Thursday night games, she writes, Lane Stadium ought to be first.
The Hokies' basketball team takes on Virginia on Thursday night. Dave Fairbank of the Newport News Daily Press writes that "one of the Cavaliers' notable improvements has been Sammy Zeglinski's offensive efficiency. Zeglinski, the sophomore-eligible guard from Philly, leads the ACC in 3-point shooting and is one of the conference's most accurate backcourt shooters."
Fairbank does double duty and also writes about a notable improvement for Virginia Tech: Dorenzo Hudson. He correctly notes that "Hudson's emergence has been critical as the Hokies." He has more than doubled his scoring average (4.6 to 12.8 points per game) from last season and most games will play more than 30 minutes.
