Catching up with Sean Glennon

Happy Tuesday, everybody. Here's some reading to get the things started.

First, we have a nice piece in The Washington Post by T. Rees Shapiro, who catches up with former Virginia Tech quarterback Sean Glennon, now a first-year mortgage consulting and loan officer with Home Savings and Trust Mortgage in Fairfax. But Glennon's critics continue to taunt him, just like they did while he was in Blacksburg.

Now, back to basketball. Virginia Tech is among the last at-large teams to make the field in Eric Prisbell's latest projected NCAA tournament field, and The Post's bracketologist projects the Hokies to be a No. 11 seed.

Virginia Tech is preparing to play at North Carolina State on Wednesday night. The Wolfpack is uncertain about the health of guard Farnold Degand, who is day-to-day with a thigh injury. Degand, who averages 6.1 points and 2.9 assists per game, missed N.C. State's loss at Georgia Tech on Saturday and did not practice on Monday.

I can't believe the extent at which "fans" will go. A "true" Hokie fan would never:
(1) Spend most of their day posting on an annonymous message board or send annonymous e-mails to athletes
(2) Make negative comments about a prospective recruit or athlete that would involve bodily harm
(3) Never make aggresive, insulting, threatening or derisive comments to their fellow hokies either via a message board or e-mail.
