Hokies a No. 10 seed in The Post's bracket
It should be a tense few weeks in Blacksburg as Virginia Tech fights for a bid in the NCAA tournament. And a lot it sure to change between now and March, even though it's only weeks away.
But The Post's Eric Prisbell, on The 65 blog, has the Hokies' as a No. 10 seed in his latest mock bracket.
As Prisbell, the bracketologist for The Post, notes in seeding Virginia Tech, its nonconference strength of schedule will be an issue. The Hokies' nonconference strength of schedule is ranked 340th nationally in the Rating Percentage Index, as they have nine wins over teams ranked below the top 200 of the RPI.
Virginia Tech (19-4, 6-3) hosts Virginia (14-7, 5-3) on Saturday. The Hokies won their first meeting in overtime on Jan. 28 in Charlottesville.
