Hokies signing day: What do you think?

Virginia Tech added 20 recruits on Wednesday’s 2010 national signing day, filling most of the areas the Hokies in which were thin while not bringing in any player considered a blue-chip prospect.

Virginia Tech continued to focus on shoring up in the trenches, signing four offensive linemen and five athletes projected to play on the defensive line. Both were areas of need for the Hokies. And they also pulled two quarterbacks, although they failed to nab one of the state's biggest recruits, Phillip Sims, a quarterback who is already enrolled at Alabama.

Coach Frank Beamer seemed pleased with this year's recruiting class. "I don't know where they're rated; I don’t pay attention to that," he said while noting that he felt "good about this group."
