Hokies signing day, UNC-Va. Tech links
Happy Thursday. To start your morning, here's some reading about Wednesday's national signing day and Virginia Tech's meeting with North Carolina on the hardwood.
The Hokies beefed up in the trenches, pulling nine offensive or defensive linemen in the 2010 recruiting class. One of the top players isn't on either line, but it's Nick Dew of Virginia Beach, and here's a nice profile of the incoming linebacker.
Meanwhile, Blacksburg is getting ready for the arrival of North Carolina at Cassell Coliseum. Normally, that'd be a cause for some major excitement. But some of that excitement has been tempered among fans because these struggling Tar Heels are suffering from puzzling problems.
Or is the ACC as a whole in a down year? That's precisely what Dave Fairbank of the Newport News Daily Press thinks about this season's unpredictable league.
