Signing day links
Happy signing day. While Virginia Tech will host North Carolina on the hardwood on Thursday, this is not a day for basketball. Let's start with some reading on recruits.
Virginia Tech was ranked in magazine guru Phil Steele's early top 10, which released on Tuesday. The Hokies, like many programs at this point, are basically finished with their 2010 recruiting class, so they is already looking toward 2011.
Norm Wood of the Newport News Daily Press, who does a great job covering recruiting, also notes that the Hampton Roads area is the staging ground for the Virginia Tech-Virginia recruiting struggles, and it has had a decidedly Hokie flavor in recent years.
Doug Doughty, writing for ACCsports.com, takes a good look at the state of Virginia's recruiting battles. He takes a look at some of the top prospects from the commonwealth: the major ACC scorers and the major ACC misses.
