Virginia Tech prepares for a big week

It's Monday of an huge seven-day stretch for Virginia Tech, which hosts Wake Forest on Tuesday and plays at No. 8 Duke on Sunday.

Virginia Tech is coming off its second win this season over rival Virginia. The night will be remembered for Jeff Allen's night-and-day performance: he sat all by 2 minutes in the first half before scoring 13 points after halftime as he took over the game.

Before that game, David Teel of the Newport News Daily Press offered a look ahead to the NCAA tournament with his thoughts on how the Hokies, among other teams, would work their way into the Big Dance.

The Hokies are preparing to host the Demon Deacons. Wake Forest is coming off a win over No. 20 Georgia Tech on Saturday night that moved it into second place in the Atlantic Coast Conference.
