Virginia Tech takes on N.C. State in Raleigh

It's a busy Wednesday but not in Blacksburg. I'll be taking off shortly for Raleigh, N.C., where Virginia Tech plays North Carolina State in a very winnable road game. To get you ready, here are some links.

It has been a difficult year for the Wolfpack. It has been so bad, in fact, that some N.C. State followers in Raleigh are targeting Coach Sidney Lowe. A column in the Technitian, the N.C. State student newspaper, laid the lumber to the coach. Here's a taste: "Until Lowe becomes competent or the Athletic Department realizes he isn't, the most Wolfpack Nation can hope for is to lose by single digits, which, luckily, Lowe has proven he can do this season."

Meanwhile, here's an update on the status of N.C. State guard Farnold Degand, who might miss Wednesday's meeting with the Hokies.
