Gearing up for Hokies spring football
Happy Friday. Here's some reading.
Football is right around the corner, but here's some basketball news from David Teel of the Newport News Daily Press: St. John's has not contacted Virginia Tech about speaking with Coach Seth Greenberg, whose name has been brought up as a possible choice to become the Red Storm's next coach.
Here's more from Teel: what the Hokies can do to improve this offseason. As Teel writes, Virginia Tech's basketball program is close to "a breakout season of national rankings, ACC contention and NCAA tournament advancement."
But as I've noted, the attention in Blacksburg will turn to football. Here's the rundown of the Hokies' spring schedule, which unofficially opens on Monday when Coach Frank Beamer addresses the news media on a teleconference.
