Quiet weekend for Virginia Tech
Apologies for the slow blogging on Thursday; I was traveling all day to Milwaukee, where I'm covering the NCAA tournament first- and second-round games. But I have some Virginia Tech reading, so let's get started.
Darryl Slater of the Richmond Times-Dispatch provides a good look at Hokies Coach Seth Greenberg's contract. He and Athletic Director Jim Weaver are due to discuss the financial teams of Greenberg's deal after March 31. Greenberg could be in for a pay day.
But the more pressing issue for the Hokies is its meeting with Connecticut on Monday in the National Invitation Tournament. It's been a down year for the Huskies' men's team but the women's team is preparing for a historic run in its own tournament.
Finally, while Virginia Tech is in the NIT, this is undeniably NCAA tournament season (hence why I am here and not still in Blacksburg). So I'd urge you to check up regularly with The 65 and our coverage page for frequent updates from around the nation.
