Virginia Tech knocks off U-Conn in NIT
Happy Tuesday. Here's some reading.
Virginia Tech knocked off Connecticut on Monday in the second round of the National Invitation Tournament. Dorenzo Hudson scored 17 of his game-high 27 points in the second half to lead the Hokies, who at 25-8 tied the most wins in season in program history.
Virginia Tech will take on Rhode Island on Wednesday in the quarterfinals. The Rams defeated Nevada on Monday in Kingston, R.I., to seal their trip to Blacksburg. The winner will advance to play in the NIT semifinals in Madison Square Garden.
Finally, my apologies for the slow action on the blog over the weekend and on Monday. I've been traveling all over for the NCAA tournament, which is getting the majority of my attention through next weekend. I'll be positing sporadically until this hectic stretch is over.
