Virginia Tech readies for Georgia Tech

Happy Friday. Here's some morning reading.

Virginia Tech is preparing to play at Georgia Tech, which is coming off a loss Tuesday to Clemson, in a critical matchup: win and the Hokies are likely in the NCAA tournament. But for Coach Paul Hewitt and the Yellow Jackets, the pressure is on. Could Hewitt see the door if Georgia Tech fails to make the Big Dance?

Virginia Tech Coach Seth Greenberg is also making a postseason push. He spoke with the Collegiate Times, the university's student newspaper, for a Q&A session as the Hokies get ready to travel to Atlanta.

Meanwhile, the Virginia Tech women's team saw its season draw to a close Thursday in the ACC tournament, falling to Boston College, 62-49, in one of the most lopsided first-round losses in conference tournament history. Virginia Tech has gone one-and-done in the conference tournament for the past three years.
