Injury updates for Virginia Tech football

Happy Wednesday. Halfway to the weekend. Here's the morning reading.

There was some recent injury news out of Blacksburg. Virginia Tech is hurting along the offensive line, which has four reserves missing time because of injuries. Most notable are the two players who were injured during spring practices, Michael Via and Vinston Painter, both of whom have knee injuries.

Here's some more attention for Virginia Tech's surging baseball program. The No. 20 Hokies take on No. 2 Virginia in a three-game set this weekend. In advance of that, Yahoo Sports has a Q&A with Manager Pete Hughes, who chats about his career, the program and much more. Take a look.

And finally, a shout out. On Tuesday, if you were watching ESPN's terrific documentary "No Crossover," part of the network's "30 for 30" series, you saw a few cameos by David Teel of the Newport News Daily Press. The film is about Allen Iverson's infamous bowling alley brawl and the racial implication for the community, and if you haven't seen it, be sure to check it out.
