A note on our Hokies coverage
Hello, Hokies fans. You may have noticed that our Hokies coverage has been lacking of late. This was not by design. Zach Berman, who was slated to be our Hokies beat writer after his great work covering Virginia for us, took a job covering the New York Giants for the Newark Star-Ledger. Since then, we've been interviewing candidates, and hope to pull the trigger on the hire this week. So fear not: Once we have a beat writer in place, our Hokies coverage will be back in full, with stories in the paper and daily updates here at Hokies Journal.
In the meantime, Post columnist Tracee Hamilton chatted with Hokies football coach Frank Beamer last week. Her column is here. Later this week, jack-of-all-trades reporter Paul Tenorio will have a story on freshman linebacker Chase Williams, son of former Redskins defensive coordinator Gregg Williams. Look for it in the paper and online. Next week, we'll have a season preview, and then it's all systems go starting with the Boise State game.
Thanks for your patience.
