Rashad Carmichael sits out Senior Bowl practice with ankle injury
Former Virginia Tech cornerback Rashad Carmichael sat out the North team's Senior Bowl practice Wednesday morning in Mobile, Ala., because of an ankle that's bothered him the past two months.
Carmichael watched practice from the sideline and said afterward that he won't know whether he can play in Saturday's game until trainers check out his left ankle.
Carnichael enjoyed a good first two days of practices, but after intercepting two passes Monday, he said his ankle experienced significant swelling. Waking up Wednesday morning, trainers felt his ankle needed at least one day of rest.
