By Mark Giannotto

The ACC announced Thursday that five Virginia Tech football players have earned all-ACC academic team honors because of their performances in the classroom this year. Only Duke and Clemson, with 13 and six selections, had more representatives on the team.

The Hokies' honorees included senior defensive tackle John Graves, senior center Beau Warren (Centreville HS), junior defensive end Chris Drager, junior wide receiver Danny Coale (Episcopal HS) and sophomore running back David Wilson.

Graves and Wilson were two of nine conference players to be earn all-ACC honors both on the field and in the classroom this year. Warren was also an honorable mention all-ACC selection on the field this past season.

To be eligible for consideration, a player must have earned a 3.0 grade point average for the previous semester in addition to maintaining a cumulative GPA of 3.0. To see the full release, click here.
