Va. Governor To Speak at Slaughter Pen Farm

This morning at 10 a.m., Virginia Gov. Tim Kaine and other state officials will join Civil War Preservation Trust president Jim Lighthhizer at the historic Slaughter Pen Farm in Fredericksburg to discuss battlefield preservation in his state.

The Slaughter Pen Farm was the scene of fierce fighting in 1862 when Union forces broke through Confederate lines before being repulsed by Gen. Thomas "Stonewall" Jackson's troops.
